UNIQUE BOTANICAL ARTWORK
In the broken light of morning
I saw you clearly for the first time
Standing tall
Waving in the wind

THE ARTIST
"She has travelled the world and been inspired by amazing people from diverse cultures and exotic backgrounds."
Born and raised in South London, bright colours, music, and movement have always been part of Anita's life. Anita combines her professional life with creative art and writing. Early in her career she was a neuroscientist researching and teaching at Oxford university and then moved into the pharmaceutical industry. For many years she was an Officer of a U.S. based global Pharmaceutical Services company and is currently a Non-Executive Director for a clinical research organisation focussing on oncology and rare diseases. As part of her work, she has travelled the world and been inspired by amazing people from diverse cultures and exotic backgrounds, which together with her acute observations of nature, are reflected in her vibrant and striking prints and poetry.

THE INSPIRATION
Anita captures the movement and form of grasses swaying in the wind, evoking images of dancers, strong yet elegant and graceful.
It was as a neuroscientist in the 1980’s when Anita recognised beauty in a single cell, how intricate structures and functions develop to form unified potential. But it was later that the richness of colour and diversity burst through into her corporate world as she travelled and worked across the globe for many years.
Inspired by the ebb and flow of seasons and the sheer force of nature, Anita captures the movement and form of grasses swaying in the wind, evoking images of dancers, strong yet elegant and graceful. Working with cotton-textured paper and oil-based inks in vibrant hues and colours, Anita illuminates the allure and resilience of the Cotswolds’ limestone grasslands, whilst reflecting the delicate and increasingly threatened balance in which they exist.
This body of work reveals tensile strength through grace and poise enhanced by Anita’s poetry, which accompanies some of her images, conjuring moments through shifting lights and sounds. Her prints and poetry are timeless, connecting and engaging with nature and movement creating a sense of brightness and well-being.

THE PROCESS
"The elegant and engaging effect is enhanced by use of vibrant colours"
"Each print is unique - a one-off. Their elegant and engaging effect is enhanced by use of vibrant colours that bring the material to life and show it to best effect. Vivid blues, pinks, yellows and reds feature prominently in the work, but there are also many striking prints which use a conjunction of black, white and grey. Their beauty is heightened when she fashions a series of connected prints of the same material, combining initial embossing with shadow techniques. Some of her best work is a combination of print and poetry, such that the two art forms intertwine and reinforce one another ."
In other words, her art speaks for itself and can adorn any home, hotel or business premises. Prints can be made to order, with customisable sizes, colours and subject matters.
